After spending 3 years of my life researching this subject, I'm convinced that best goth girls are the ones who don't try to fit into any mold. They wear what they want, how they want, no matter what the status quo of the goth community is.

They dance to whatever music moves them. They play whatever video games they want and dress up in whatever colors they want and if other goths don't like that, that's their problem.

However, as a male, I can't wear all the eyeliner and get tattooed all over my body because I don't really have any insecurities about my body. But I'm not afraid of any of the makeup used by female goth women; in fact, I think the makeup on some female goths is over-the-top and over-the-top is fine in my book. I also think they're being extremely playful and fun and not being afraid to try new things.

And I guess I'm the same way. I may not have a ton of insecurities, but I also don't have a million dollars. What can I say, I'm a little out of my element.
