Fired On My First Day Of Work At New Job.

I got a job at the Bojangles near me. $15 an hour. I was fired on my first day.

Why? Because I wanted to wear gloves!

Apparently it's their policy to NEVER wear gloves while making Biscuits. So when you eat there and get biscuits their "Fresh" (Powder Mix plus Buttermilk mixed together with no gloves and rolled out and cut into biscuits all BY HAND) Biscuits you get to have people's hands all up in your Buiscuits every crevice and area imaginable.

So how was I fired?

Well I had to call the place fours times. Two time to get my interview. Once to get my orientation day and a fourth time to get my first day of work (which ended up being 7AM the day after I called at night to ask about if I would get to work soon)

So on my first day I'm fired within the hour and a half.

I didn't even do anything wrong. I had to watch some guy as he did biscuits (BTW the first batch he had gloves on BTW and then threw them away after that first batch) so I watched and learned how to do the job....

After that he told me it was my turn. I asked where the gloves were. He said "We don't wear gloves doing biscuits". I said "Well I 'd like to wear gloves anyways". He gets a weird look on his face and goes up to the other female manager and tells her I wanted to wear gloves. She turns to me and says "You can go home". No discussion. No Questions.

At this point I think a few things. 1. They clearly don't want me there... I was hired and took 4 calls to get my first day. 2. ALL of them were black so I think they were racist against me (The Hiring manager is white who hired me and wasn't there because I guess he has other stores he goes to often or soemthing).

At this point I had traveled to the job and home 5 times. First was to apply. Second was to interview. Third was to stop by just to provide my SSN and Drivers License. Forth was for a 1 hour Orientation. and Fifth was to have my first day which by now had been an hour and a half. (2 hours and 30 minutes VS 120 Miles)

I ask her for the number to HR and I take out my phone and record her answer because she was being a B****.... So then she calls the police and I'm like "Seriously?"

So I waited. Police came and told me I had to leave and I left...

What the HELL is wrong with this world that BS has to happen like this all of the time?

I really don't care what they think. The term "Professional" is used very lightly often to describe people in a "higher position" who more often than not lack authenticity, intelligence, and morally sound decision making... It's one of the reasons I have refrained from taking a "leadership" position.

You will seldom work with any level of professional while standing in a bojangles.

I’m a petty person but I never been as petty as putting all of the thawed food back inside the freezer so when the store opened the store couldn’t sell food because everything was still frozen. To put insult to injury I even turned off all of the ovens and stoves so they will have to preheat.

Sorry you had to go such bad experience OP, but I believe it is not a wise thing to name shame as you are the one who will be finger pointed on that regard. Second, it is difficult to judge what really happened until hearing both side of the story. Third, this is a gaming forum of which people don't care much about your personal life. Such rant belongs to your family member and real friends. Steam community is not your friend. Hope you'll feel better.
