Tomboys with long hair are usually wearing a wig but we see through the facade, they're not fooling anyone. Just don't pull her wig off unless you're sure you can run faster than her.

Wasn't kim possible a tomboy? She had long hair and did cheerleading. And then applejack had a long mane. Helga from hey arnold had long hair.

If you got long hair, but don't wanna look like you do, you can hide it under a hat.

I suppose Kim-Possible counts but there is a reason you have to ask and that it is only just barely. She is a bit of a borderline case. Not as much of a borderline case as Alex from Totally Spies or Blossom from Powerpuff girls, but she's still one of the more questionable cases. Kim qualifies mostly based on mannerisms rather than appearances. On the rare occasion that she drops the tough girl contenance she actually looks quite girly. Maybe Shego is a better example?

Also, if you're wondering why I mention Blossom as a borderline case, it's mostly because she is the balanced powerpuff girl. She's not anywhere near as girly and nice as Bubbles, nor is she anywhere near as boyish and mean as Buttercup. (I probably wouldn't mention her if it was not for the stark contrast between her sisters though.)

I'm not sure if Helga actually counts as a Tomboy. She puts on a front when she's around other people, but she has some repressed girliness deep down inside that she indulges in when she's alone, like when she's writing her super sappy love poetry about Arnold. If it is possible to be a fake tomboy, which I must admit is a pretty big if, then Helga is probably one of the few examples and her tomboyishness/bullying is probably a defensive coping mechanism against her semi-broken home.

Also, we should probably disqualify animals as a basis of comparison for humans in this discussion because the expectations differ wildly depending on the animal type. In Lions, it's the males who have long manes for example, and for a stallion to have a long flowing mane[http//horses+in+particular%2C+it+is+to+be+expected+for+%5Burl%3Dhttps], which is not even to mention that they are the namesake of the pony tail.

That's the stereotype.

But as with everything, it doesn't reflect reality.
If stereotypes had no predictive power people wouldn't believe them

Besides that, Tomboyishness is kind of predicated upon stereotypes because it involves those aspects of social perceptions of masculinity and femininity that do not strictly correlate to biological sex and is arguably a bit of a stereotype itself since it involves categorical traits rather than an individualistic assessment of a person. Kind of a stereotype of bucking the trend of a stereotype.

I am not sure I would qualify a girl as a tomboy if she wore a wig, unless she was balding and that goes especially so if the wig was representative of a girly hair-style. That behavior is way too girly and self-aware of gender norms. Besides, even if you qualify it by saying usually, you are still admitting that there are occasions where a tomboy an actually have long hair, ultimately rendering the answer to the question yes anyway.

Sometimes they're correct, what I was saying is that they're not always correct.

I'm Brazilian but I hate football, for example =P

Should I take a tongue-in-cheek selfie and use it as my new avatar? Would it make any difference in the long run? Probably not.

The last thing a tomboy wants is long hair blowing in the wind. what wind?? she is always outside doing something.
she hates traffic so she prefers bikes over cars because she is always in a hurry
