Old video games that have a place in your heart

Any video games that you played as child, that still give you fond memories.

Videos of the games would be a nice addition (especially the real oldies), so that we can see & appreciate them in all their glory.

I can think of a good few that have stuck with me, so I'm going to start with 4.

Sonic 1 and Golden Axe 1, but I didn't really play them as a kid, I just played Golden Axe 1 at the arcades and was not even able to beat stage 1 back then (I know it sounds pathetic) and I tried Sonic 1 only once at one of my friend's house but I loved both those games so much I fantasized so much about them and now I have played them so many times and I still love them.
I had the Golden Axe port for the Amiga but it was not the same thing, I know that some people appreciate it but I can't understand how, that port just suck.

I think the game I put the most time into as a kid was called "Phantasy 3, the wrath of Nikodemus" or something like that. It was a dungeons and dragons type RPG. It was extremely difficult, I got close to the end, but never managed to finish it.
