Who's excited for HBO series The Last of Us premiering Jan 15?

I certainly am. When casting was first announced I was skeptical. However each sequential trailer that came along has piqued my anticipation more. I'm a fan of the games and it's in my top 5 of game titles so far in the gaming pantheon.

I am excited, I just wish they would have picked a girl that looked like Elli better. They did good in casting a Joel look-a-like I believe.

Say what you will but after the last few game-based TV shows, the last of us done by HBO already sounds like a car crash in slow motion, you can already see HBO flying through the windshield.

Anyone remember the Halo TV series? No?
Or how about the others?

They are also increasing the subscription amount by $1 staring your next billing cycle.

Hopefully its The Last of Half-Baked Show Adaptations, and they leave videogames alone.

It turned out to be a good series opener with good embellishments to the game. Only thing is Joel didn't loot anywhere as much as I did in the game.

Great show so far. The crews have it easy as the game alr has some of the best storytelling... and dialogue. Gosh.. why cant other games make in-game dialogue as natural as naughty dog games

I liked the episode for the most part. It felt a bit rushed towards the end though, I would prefer if they focused a bit on the interactions b/w the characters. Unlike the game.
