Real talk though, I'd probably meditate on it. Ask yourself what it is you're afraid of, and dive into that. We already know death is inevitable- both of us are heading there- all of us are. Because we know it can't be avoided, fearing it will only cause us to become what you described yourself as. All of that stress- it's unnecessary. Maybe what I'm saying sounds too holistic now, too dismissive- but I'm diagnosed with both depression and anxiety- I've seen death, and had plenty of close calls with it myself. It's a fear you can manage, if not conquer entirely.
I think that I don't fear death, but I fear what I might miss out on once I'm dead- but that fear is also silly because there's nothing I can do about it; like being mad at moon or sun. If it's not in your control, or feasibly could ever be in your control, it shouldn't be something you waste your time worrying about. I found that meditation gives me a much larger control over my subconscious mind, thus why I recommended it
death is fun
For me it was having a daughter that made me realise I just had to pass what I can and pave the way onto the next generation such gave me closure when thinking about death.
There's FOUR fear of death current discussions on here ffs.
EDIT: five if we count the funeral one too.
Congrats on your daughter. I am glad that you have overcame that fear. I hope that one day I can overcome it too. :)
I'm not afraid of death, I'm afraid of dying.
