it's crazy to me how Youtube loses money every year but they are owned by Google and have tons of cash.

Only problem then is the load of old content that would never get backed up, I wish YT was bought by a slightly less trash company but that's not gonna happen so just gotta put up with it.
Just block all the ads and trackers, don't use anything else google, sucks but best that can be done.
Really long videos like an online tournament, or videos with few views don´t have those. Also music videos don´t have these - and the German broadcast stuff doesn´t have commercial breaks either. Else i´m not that interested in reaction videos, or what individual people might think to spread on some online video platform - which is probably most of the content. When i want other entertainment i play a game and if it´s about opinions i can rather talk to people, or play the investigative journalist myself. First hand experience is underrated imho.
