I'm sure the fools think they're making improvements.
But of course it's merely irritating.
I'm convinced that it's their job to make Youtube as worst as possible for everyone.
"Why do companies purposely make their app ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? How does this benefit them? Like with the likes/dislikes removal. Why remove a a feature that everyone uses. It’s just gonna get you hate. Literally nobody asked for this. It’s like these companies wanna become the most hated companies."

I agree. "making apps ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" is the general trend of UI development. I've been seeing bad UI decisions for almost everything from websites, to games, to OS, even management interfaces I work with in IT. It's like the whole world decided to hire crack-babies to do their UI design.
One youtuber I watch has been making videos since before youtube even existed. Started on youtube day one and hasn't stopped.
No way could I go back one page at a time. I tried it. Youtube lags more the farther you go back. We need those extra sorting options.
