YouTube Feature Removed: Sort by Oldest to Newest
The ability to sort a YouTube channel's videos by oldest to newest has now been removed from YouTube.

Since the change there have been a number of workarounds. One such work around is to use a wildcard search on the channel search ribbon. Example: * before:2010-01-31

If you use the above work around one issue encountered is if you use a year too far back before channel was created no results are found. It also does not always reliably return expected results.

It's likely that this work around, however imperfect it may be, will also stop working completely at some point.

EDIT: YouTube has also removed "sort by views" option.

It's idiotic. Google is intent on making YouTube as bad as possible.

Everything they do is to shelter the astroturfed content creators with corporate contracts and corporate ideas, while they continue the transition into being Netflix 2: Electric Boogaloo. There is no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Youtube at this point, even if you were to oust Susan Wojciki.

It will die along with the rest of Big Tech at some point.

They removed oldest to newest, and the dates on the videos.
It just says how many months/years ago now.
You have to click 'Show more' to expand the box, and show the date.
I'm sure the fools think they're making improvements.
But of course it's merely irritating.

That would imply the automata they've got butchering the side do that to begin with. Think, that is.

I'm convinced that it's their job to make Youtube as worst as possible for everyone.

The problem is now, videos are tailored to be slave to the algorithm. The content itself has suffered. I watch less YouTube now than I did 5 years ago.

So you are up to date on the latest from big bro and don't watch old stuff which contradicts the current event(s).
People, go, to, odyssey or bitchute, stop depending entirely on Youtube. None of these places have exclusivity agreements, you can post on all of them and lose nothing. Go, save yourself the headache. Just let Youtube ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die. Yes, 90% of what they're doing isn't legal, but it's not worth going to court over, there are alternatives.

I love one of the responses.

"Why do companies purposely make their app ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? How does this benefit them? Like with the likes/dislikes removal. Why remove a a feature that everyone uses. It’s just gonna get you hate. Literally nobody asked for this. It’s like these companies wanna become the most hated companies."

I agree. "making apps ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" is the general trend of UI development. I've been seeing bad UI decisions for almost everything from websites, to games, to OS, even management interfaces I work with in IT. It's like the whole world decided to hire crack-babies to do their UI design.

It really sucks for channels that have thousands of videos.

One youtuber I watch has been making videos since before youtube even existed. Started on youtube day one and hasn't stopped.

No way could I go back one page at a time. I tried it. Youtube lags more the farther you go back. We need those extra sorting options.
