did you quote my post by accident?
for the time being, all you need to know is that cis and trans are opposites
do you understand now?
...did you quote me by accident?
XX = female
XY = male
Wouldn't that make more sense?
So that Peterson guy was a biological woman before? Who cares?
Oh God.
And yeah, the thread completely derailed for some reason.
which, even assuming sex determination actually was as simple as a singular chromosome simply existing, would still be an assignation as nearly no doctor ever runs a chromosomal test on a newborn
not that it would matter, since as i just implied, we have come to discover that sex determination in the body is much more complex than simply the last chromosome pair, as a multitude of genes in a multitude of chromosomes affect different systems and influence different developments that then lead to different gonads developing, which then secrete different hormones, which in turn bind to certain receptors to make the body shape up and behave in certain ways
but that's a tangent and a half; none of this even matters as we're not even talking about sex, we're talking about gender in comparison to (assigned) sex
i seriously don't get what your question is trying to do
the ♥♥♥♥ does some rando running over people have to do with the discussion at hand?
it's almost as if they're the same people at different times, one moment being before being recognized as one gender and the other moment being after
Yeah, that's how it always is, then when they start talking about all kinds of random nonsense, it's actually because YOU don't have any arguments, then when you outright list a few specific questions and say nothing else, just ask them straightforward questions, they just ignore that and proceed to repeat that YOU don't have any arguments.
Yeah, I'm not sure about this either. If you're saying what I think you are.
Like, Starfield now has "Body type 1" and "Body type 2" instead of male and female options like it used to be and criticizing that is apparently "transphobic". How can that even be? If anything, it's the complete opposite of "transphobic" because isn't the whole point of being transgender that you're now male or female instead of female or male? Why talk so much about being "the other" gender, only to ♥♥♥♥ all over it by replacing the genders with "body type 1 / A and 2 / B"? This also ♥♥♥♥♥ on the whole "point" of being gay, lesbian and "bi"sexual. So, I really don't understand, it looks like the L, G, B and T only get screwed over by this if anything, not that it benefits them.
Yeah, exactly. People like that claim to be against "gender stereotypes", then proceed to make the very "gender stereotypes" their entire personality. Hell, even the 80+ years olds who go to church every day in my backwards conservative country don't think it's "feminine" for me, male, to have long hair. Like, Jesus Christ is always portrayed with even longer hair than mine... Come on...
I have no real opinion on the matter.
Sounds about right.
