no one has tried to take your ability to say these things away.
People have taken away Peterson's ability to speak and live his life.
Andrew is in prison for his crimes.
The odd one out here, is for you.
Besides, as leftists say: Freedom of speech isn't freeeeeedom from CONSEQUENCEEES!
Section 14 deals with what he did...
Basically the long short of it is that Jordan Peterson called transgenders a "satanic cult" which in the straight up most dumbest ways, on a pod cast.
Which by Canadian regulations he violated basically firstly 10.4:
10.4 Identification of Limits of Certainty
Members must identify limits to the certainty with which diagnoses, opinions, or predictions can be made about individuals or groups.
But then decided to give Canadia the middle finger saying he's correct and to bite him, as it were:
Members must not engage in sexual harassment in any professional context. Sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to, any or all, of the following:
a) the use of power or authority in an attempt to coerce another person to engage in or tolerate sexual activity including, but not limited to, explicit or implicit threats of reprisal for noncompliance or promises of reward for compliance;
b) engaging in deliberate and/or repeated unsolicited sexually oriented comments, anecdotes, gestures, or touching, where the member knows or ought to know that such behaviours are offensive and unwelcome, or creating an offensive, hostile, or intimidating professional environment; and
c) engaging in physical or verbal conduct of a sexual nature when such conduct might reasonably be expected to cause harm, insecurity, discomfort, offence, or humiliation to another person or group.
Like at this point the guy has no one to blame but himself, like the fact that the means to even get a Canadian medical licence is by far rather insane to begin with, the fact he decided to basically refuse to adhere to their order for him to be Properly Ameliorated.
For those unaware, Canadian doctors are rather strict, ya you can loose your doctorate degree for either outright hostile, incorrect and stupid statements, Jordon is not the first to loose his

i felt that
Are you seriously linking the Babylon Bee? That's a satire newspaper. xD
Besides, I a talk show isn't a session and not a professional environment. He's just giving his opinions to the public, not towards his patients. On top, "transgender" isn't a diagnosis.
I think it will be up to the courts to decide.
There are people who defend actual pedophilia here, I'm never going to let that go and I'll spite that kind of anime whenever I can. Yeah, like I said in that anime profile picture thread, I couldn't care less about the normal kind like Pokemon or whatever (hell, I used to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender a really long time ago), I'm not a fan of Japanese culture including / especially anime, the country isn't all bad, of course, and they produce plenty of good stuff.
Regardless, it's not about liking and disliking, literally everyone likes some stuff and dislikes some other stuff. It's not like I just "dislike" and "disagree" with Tate for example, he's a dangerous criminal piece of ♥♥♥♥. Honestly, I have a brain fart right now, I don't know what else to add about liking and disliking.
Anyway, you too, I guess. I never had anything against you or most people here... yet.
No one has tried to take way my ability to say these things, it's just that some people who love freedom of speech so much absolutely cannot stand hearing them, label them terrifying and more dangerous than Tate, unacceptable, pure evil what not.
Also, did you just say "for his crimes", as in, he actually did them? No way, you're now worse than Hitler for making such an evil assumption about that poor guy, he just has a different opinion!
Yeah, exactly. That's why I posted that video of him crying, not because I'm a "sadist" like Tate, but the person who called me a sadist defends Tate.
However, I'm pretty sure that you can't tell the difference between the people who are doing that, and the other people who might otherwise actually side with and agree with you on things but who are currently telling you to make better arguments because your current arguments for your position... are not very reasonable.
If you want to just have a rant and vent what's on your mind, then go right ahead but if you're trying to make a persuasive argument or points that can stand up to criticism...
you're not doing very well at that.
IF ANYTHING the guy by refusing is just hurting himself, even to me it looks more like the collage is offering him a safety net then outright ordering anything upon him, because I imagine even a collage like those lads have would not take it away due to a podcast, but I can 100% see them offering him a sanctuary, as it were, till the fires calm down.
Something in between. I don't think this guy even deserves a serious analysis and a serious discussion anyway, it's too hard to take him seriously.
There is some serious irony here, as well as "irony".
Hey, I'm not the one making excuses for someone who is in jail for rape and human trafficking in real life, then talking about morals and unacceptable behavior when it comes to saying "evil piece of ♥♥♥♥" in the comments section on Off Topic, while also talking about how "freedom of speech" must be preserved at all costs. That's not just irony, that's more like... trirony.
And the issue with the reports are, that allegedly they come from people all around the globe unrelated to his patients and in response to his recent public opinion and not his immediate work as a psychologist.
That's less of a safety net, but more of a rotten carrot and stick approach. 'Do as we say, no matter how bs it is, or loose your job.' It's about as generous and voluntary as telling someone to get a medical procedure done or get locked-in or pay a hefty fine.
Now, I don't see how JBP's livelyhood could be dependent on his licence since they can't revoke his fame, but the way it is used in this context makes it a tool to suppress his speech, whether it be for the CPO or by the reporting.
Very fishy! I'm hyped to see if this going to court and what the courts will say.
