Question what would I do first - I probably would not recognize if i was rich and be focused on getting richer thinking needing more money to be safe from homelessness.

But
If I was handed a lot of money instantly the first thing I would do is go to my favourite restaurant order lots of food and invite people nearby to visit the restaurant (paid by me ofcourse) and just have a good night chatting, laughing and whatever else with people I did not know before that night.

If I won £2 million, I would aleast buy a house worth at least 400k, sort my current mortgage and other debts out. Spend maybe another 200k on nice things and holidays and invest the rest in high interest accounts, gold and/or silver and pay large amounts extra into my pension for when old age comes along.

depends what you mean by rich. you can be rich of personality or spirit, or you can be rich as in owning a lot of money, you can be rich in luck, good or bad...
