The PS2 is the coolest console of all time. (Here's Why)

This console, held more games than any other could even come close to, had a ♥♥♥♥ ton of exclusives because of how many small indie games, Japanese titles were on the console.

Had a start up screen where a certain number of towers sat at the bottom was equal to the number of game save files you have and their height was how long you had time played in them.

Every game had their own custom save icons which I am fascinated by and obsessed with. Idk how there is not a wiki for them alone. They can be 3D figures, they can have animations, delete animations, some even change after a certain point of the game.

The amount of cool and absolute amazement the PS2 has still blows away anything else to this day, but hell, some of the greatest games ever are PS2 games too.

Well, not that it had any competition to begin with.

Not sure if I can call it the "coolest" of all time. Sounds like an opinion to me.

Influence wise, Atari, SNES, the Game Boy, and of course, the predecessor PS1, probably have more than the PS2.

Nowhere near man. The PS2 is not THE best in retrospec but the influence it had just cannot be ignored. Look how long it was in production and how many they sold. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane and it was most likely the first console for a hell of a lot more people than everything that came before it.

Nothing will ever beat Fearful Harmony. Sega CD warning is nightmarish as well though.
These were mostly implemented as anti piracy installments. Like various games use.
Anti piracy screens are definitely some of the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ things ever.

And one of the biggest reason for it's success was that it could also played DVDs during a time when quality DVD players were still expensive. That was a genius idea from Sony and certaintly contributed to millions of sales from parents that saw it as a practical solution to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Hell yes.... I still used my old ps2 for a long time after I had gotten sick of games just to do movies
