If you're asking if there's a community of people with an honest passion for their subject that will happen open up to share that subject, that would be damn near all of them. Yes a few places might tend to drag people in from unfortunate situation(see The Furry community) but they are the exception not the intent or rule. Enjoy the people you find and decide for yourself what you want. Gatekeeping can't keep Keemstars from appearing from time to time without doing more harm than good, and those kinds of people don't prevent you from focusing on the people who DO enjoy it.

Just block people whom you deem "toxic" and be done with it. It's the internet, no one needs to put up with anyone if they don't want to. It's not like someone is walking down the street, following you while they shout racial epithets.

If someone does that to you IRL, okay that's harassment. But if someone says something to you online and you don't like it then it's just words on a screen and nothing to get upset over. Just block them, ignore them or both.

Well, I didn't make such a claim. You'll find toxicity almost anywhere that there is a portion of human population greater than 1 person. It's a human nature problem. That alone does not mean it has become systemic or endemic, or perpetuated in any particular way as a group.

I just dissected the issue with group toxicity on / from Twitter and said to throw that garbage back where it came from. *lol*
