Used To Be Homeless and Need A Job Now

I was homeless for over 5 years and the past SIX Months I got a room and have lived here. I recently got back on steam and spent like $100 so I could finally have some games. I've nevr bought games before so please don't say I am so frivolous... I have NO Family and NO Friends (And unlike most people who say that it is TRUE COMPLETELY for me)

When I was homeless I stayed in my car and worked at jobs. Because living in my car was much cheaper I could work 1 Month and that money could last me 4 or 5 Months. IT was a way I didn't have to work so much and could quit jobs easier, but I did save some money so I could get a place...

Now that I have a place I don't have as much money saved. It will maybe last 2 week... I'm not hereto ask for money or something by the way...

I always worked at Restaurants and Grocery. These days they pay about $14 an hour, which is plenty for me me (Because let's face it I'll never get a good job or retire right?)... That is enough to cover my rent and allow me to save a couple hundred a month...

The issue is that the job I have are usually pretty bad... Either I hate the work or the staff/customers are really mean and rude and stuff... And I usually don't stay long.... Most of the time I quit a job and go next door and get an instant pay raise because these places keep employees and pay them low and hire the NEW employees for more money, so quitting and getting a new job pays you more...

I guess I am depressed a bit... I don't see the point. I can get a new job but I'll never make friends or find any meaning in the job. The job won't be anything aside from a paycheck to pay my rent and keep me sustained... And I always quit jobs that I am worried I may someday not be able to keep the place I am living in and go back to living in a car.

Interestingly living in a car was okay. IT wasn't bad or scary or anything except I guess when I first started it... The bonus to having my own room is something but not a make or break for me... I do like being able to play video games and watch shows and take a sleep in the middle of the day though...

Can you all advise me on what YOU think I should do?

Also I need to apply for some jobs... What would be a good place to apply for?

I dress well and I am presentable. I believe I can speak in an articulate and intellectual manner... I just want to be happy and have some decent job (I'd be willing to be paid LESS for a good/fun job, then HIGH for a job that isn't good/fun)

I've always wanted to make video games or write comics, or come up with concepts for games and interactions between characters. I bet I could create such a great world that people would love to be in....OR perhaps I would fail at that too, like everything else?

Either way if you want to comment please consider telling me your opinion?

Probably true... But I want to get it because It costs maybe $100 ($8 a month for a year).

IT's not anything special and its not important but if I am spending $1000+ a months on stuff just like a house and gas and things I might as well spend a tiny amount on what I want right?

I've even made it a way I can just skip a meal once a week and it's like I'm paying nothing, call it a paid diet...

You could debate that almost anything can systematically be considered a "corrupted system" but we do put up with some things like eating food (killing many animals and plants- even if you didn't do it personally you're a conduit to a pretty much hiring someone to do that task for you), or that living at all would accompany that pain (because an army is needed to keep order in our world as it is currently)...

That is interesting, although I'm not sure... I'm thinking HUMANS would somehow make it a bad thing. If robotics could do everything for us we should ALL be able to live pretty good lives without having to work and stuff like that I suppose?

BUT these robots would definitely not be able to sentient, otherwise they would also need the same rights as us... Maybe we can have companion robots with emotions and feelings and equal right, and worker robots that do not have feelings or emotions...?

I find it all very regrettable that we can't all just get along... Maybe some day we can live by just drinking water? Then maybe we would then have to worry about the life that is in that water like tiny whatever they are called that live in there...

good point, to me it seems pretty weird considering you had no problem working in fast food chains who are responsible for the obesity problemyou guys have over there, no mention of the all the waste they produce, I'd say that's way more harmful, I don't see the army as any different from police force

I guess it's that I am just making food, and others are choosing if they wish to consume it or not... Everything we consume could be considered good or bad dependent on how we look it.

I usually get to eat for free at the places that I work and I've never been overweight.

I don't consider throwing away food wasteful... While it may be wasteful for humans, There are other living creatures that live off of that. (I personally eat everything on my plate though and I dsagree with throwing away food over giving it away for free for example to a homeless or needy person)

I do have some problems working in fast food, but to me those problems aren't as bad ethically as a facility that can hold under control another country or person to bid their will on/against.

I suppose you're not from the USA? I would think here most Americans look down the Police more so than the Army.

Most American's Value FREEDOM above many things, and while most American's are greedy, egotistical, and boastful.... I don't like the idea of holding any jurisdiction over any other person, and I don't feel anyone should have the right to hold jurisdiction over another unless they are committing and evil act on another.

What doe you mean? Nobody should have jurisdiction over another unless they are committing a evil act.

BUT I have thought a lot about things like that....

I am completely against stuff like drugs, alcohol, smoking, porn, and things like that but I think it is okay as long as those people WANT to do it, are HAPPY doing it, and NOBODY gets hurt (Meaning nobody is forced to do it, it isn't effecting anyone else, stuff like that)... When people ask me if it is good or bad I will always note that I am fully against it and advise against it but ultimately it is their choice. IF a law was to be voted on for legality of Marijuana for example I would vote to have it stay illegal or not vote at all (I don't vote btw)

There are a lot of bad corrupt things in this world and I don't think it will get better... But I personally choose to be a good person and not condone bad behavior, But I'm not going to force my will on another person.
