What is the film Prometheus (2012) trying to say?
The film shows us that life on Earth was seeded by a race of "white gods" (aliens), who speak a reconstructed Proto-Indo-European language (formerly known as the Aryan language family).

I just know that Blade Runner takes place in the same universe as Alien and that Indo-Aryan means Iranian or Pakistani.
"People who liked Alien, please come see this movie."

So it stands to reason that the replicants are full of marbles and noodles and ground beef and milk/cornstarch mixture.
I’m a little more concerned with Giger’s living, breathing manifestations of sexual assault than that…
It should also be said that the way they find the white god's alien homeworld, a starmap carved into ancient ruins, is clearly a reference to artefacts like the Nebra Sky Disc, which depict the Pleiades (which is impossible to see fully with the naked eye btw).

It also stands to reason that multiple cultures and creeds thought of windmills as solar symbols, yet because of one man with a funny mustache laypeople think otherwise. Just saying,

I think it is "God made us, but don't try to cross that line, try to get knowledge of being God or question / surpass God.

I've gone ahead and forwarded your query to the man himself. I'll post his answer once received.
Ridley Scott was a gutless director. He did have an idea in mind for what he wanted to say in the film but chickened out at the last moment due to not wanting to offend people. If you have watched all the videos about the movie online you will know a lot of stuff was cut out of the film, especially the fact the Engineers were the race that gave us Jesus and taught him all they knew and sent him back to Earth, Back on Earth he was crucified. That whole part of the story was cut out.

Considering who runs Hollywood, I wonder why he might've been pressured to cut that part out.

Not everyone wants to wind up like Stanley Kubrick.

I think you're probably right. Weyland's arrogance and hubris, his desire to live forever. Shaw's eagerness and desire for answers. The android David's desire to usurp his own creators. It all kind of plays into that theme doesn't it?

I know you're joking but I would honestly love for Ridley Scott to respond to this thread.
That we're a failed experiment.

Given the parallels to real life, like with the Nebra Sky Disc that I pointed out, do you think there's possibly a race of white gods hanging out in the Pleiades looking down on us with disgust right now as we speak?
