im like a quarter off on my steam balance something i want to buy but i don't have any trading cards at hand, was thinking of buying stuff with points and selling those on the market for the difference.

which point items should i prioritize?

No you can't, you can do that ONLY if you got them legit by crafting the badge, buying them or exchanging them, but buying them from the point shop will remove the possiblity to resell or exchange
