Unpopular opinion: MrBeast is cringe

What I mean by this is that as a content creator, MrBeast is very cringeworthy. This is like separating art from artist, but in a case where the artist is good and the art is bad. All of his content is soulless and clickbaity, and just looking at those terrible thumbnails makes me gag! Honestly, this is just my personal opinion, and the horde is bound to mow me down.
Note: I think he is a great guy, but post better content please!

He's a moron and a fraud, I can't believe people actually fall for this boring, generic guy and his blatant scams. His videos are moronic and I genuinely feel bad and worried for people who are growing up on that ♥♥♥♥. Seriously, what the actual ♥♥♥♥? Also, obviously, people who really care about helping do it without letting the whole world know and without getting anything in return. This guy, even if he gives away stuff, gets much, much more in return, he greatly profits regardless of giving, so it means absolutely nothing to him anyway.

Yes he is cringe, I never found his content very entertaining either especially now he tends to do these huge events but condenses the content down to a 4 minute video like... really? For example with that Squid Game thing he did.

Umm, MrBeast is a team which mades their profit via the Youtube videos going viral and being backed by sponsorships, advertising and merchandiise.

The concept is more based around awareness and sparking an interest.

Jimmy Donaldson (MrBeast) started off as a philanthropist when in 2017 he had received his first sponsorship deal of $10,000. He had asked "how can I transform this money into something good?" and only agreed to the sponsorship deal with one condition: he was able to give it all away. The sponsor had agreed. He realized that wasn't enough and started more with matching charity donations. Viewers would make up some of it and the sponsor would match it as such.

He had become a 501(c)3 organization. Aka a charitable organization eligible to receive tax-deductitions so long able to give enough away. That's why he keeps giving money away and can keep doing so.

In 2020, he had given away 50,000 Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to the needy. I don't see why you would consider that being a moron or fraud. It's a benefit to them, which then reflects back to himself.

Another Youtuber, ThatWasEpic, does similar in giving away money.

However, MrBeast target audience has 29% 25-34 year olds and 25% 18-24 year olds age range groups mostly, focusing mostly on impacting the next generation. I'll agree there are some children viewers too.

MrBeast had also created separate channels for Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, and French content, and hired native speakers to provide voice-overs for his videos. Which gives a much larger target range audience across the world.

It's a pyramid scheme. It's the subscribers & advertisers who are paying for the prizes, not him.
If people stopped watching his videos tomorrow, he would not continue to be a "philanthropist" with his own money. A philanthropist is someone who has literally so much money, they can't spend it, so they give some of it to charity. Gates, Buffett, Musk.
Mr Beast takes a cut, then gives the rest away to something he knows will generate more views.
He doesn't care about altruism, it's just his gimmick. I mean the bar for entertainment is so low on youtube, his peers are people like Logan Paul & Saffron Barker. It's no wonder that people think he is a great person when he gives away a box of iPads.

Thats not a pyramid scheme and there is nothing wrong about what he's doing. He makes great content that we watch, he makes money and then spends it to make more entertaining content. This cycle will continue until he decides to end on his own terms or his viewership drops to the point where he won't be able to make unique videos anymore.

Him getting ad and youtube money is not the same as us giving him money and expecting more than what we gave to come back to us which is an actual pyramid scheme.
