Putin didn't attack until 2022. The civil war has been going on since 2014. A civil war which has seen several bombs and shells fall on cities in eastern Ukraine over the past 10 years. This war wouldn't have even been started in the first place if NATO stuck to their agreements of not pushing NATO influences into countries on the Russian border, or backed a coup overthrowing the elected leadership in 2014.

Pretending this was some random, spontaneous aggression by Russia and NATO is just innocently sitting by with clean hands helps nobody. NATO created the mess, Ukrainian oligarchs are profiting off it, while innocent people are dying for a power play by people thousands of miles away supported by citizens in those countries who refuse to call out their own sides.

I'm genuinely curious - who was pushing Ukraine into NATO (or NATO into Ukraine)? I do not recall hearing this, not even ONCE before Putin decided to attack Ukraine.

Also, even if that were the case (which it surely is not); Ukraine's low military spending and the overall development of the country + conflicts with Russia, makes it highly unlikely that existing NATO countries would've been willing to even ratify such membership application, prior to the attack.

NATO is a defensive alliance and poses no threat to countries that are not seeking to invade & undermine the sovereignty of the member countries.

You actually trust your media to keep you properly informed on these things? Some of the groups you should look into more in Ukraine are groups like Azov, the Svoboda Party, which were two large groups behind the coup in 2014. Both are Neo-Nazi groups pushing for an ethnically pure Ukraine. Svoboda was lead by Oleh Tyahnybok who met with John McCain back in 2014 where the US went to express it's support for the protests/riots/coup. There are even phone calls recorded of then assistant secretary of state Victoria Nuland discussing their plans on reshaping the Ukraine government that you can listen to. Like I've tried telling others, this has been brewing long, long before 2022, and was even going on BEFORE Russia even took Crimea.

Could you find me a piece of document that shows plans to get Ukraine into NATO, from a source that could be considered trustworthy to speak on behalf of the alliance? Any talks about it? Before Feb 2022.
