Unreal/Unreal Tournament Games Will Be Delisted On GoG As Well
You thought the games being delisted on Steam was bad? Just wait until the 23rd where they'll be removed on GoG as well. CD Project tried to negotiate with Epic to keep the games on there, but Epic refused.

Epic owns Unreal Engine and they therefore may decide what they wan to do with it. I do not like that necessarily but such are the facts.

It also might be their only hold on the market, where usually from what I can see most other companies so to speak choose to cooperate.
So their hold on the market is a bootleg version of Unity? Makes sense to me.
So does it mean at least Unreal Development Kit->Unreal Tournament 3(optionally will move to Unreal Engine 5 including Jazz Jackrabbit iOS Kismet Tutorial)?
I heard Epic Games before making earlier build prototype of Unreal Engine 1(in pre-final build era)were publisher of Ken Labirynth when they were known as Epic Mega Games according to my own digital calculations research analysis they didn't have even their own replica of IdTech1 back then in past.

From your words I can assume what you mean just by you implying it and me not exactly knowing what it is but again estimating.

Interesting.

Old... things like old times have changed so much though. Sometimes besides remakes and re-iterations there seems little to no left from the ''old world". (golden era of, and so on)

I always was very impressed by ''the'' Unreal Engine.

Pity to see things go the way they do because ultimately I would love to have everything on Steam. Which is one of the things that are ''of old'' so to speak. Steam is huge. And that is good. I think.

It seems JJ3D,UT4 are both considered unfinished.
It's strange that they decide to redo UT3 Black edition, considering UT 2004 is generally considered the most complete Unreal Tournament, because that one also has a game-mode in which players and bots could play (co-operatively) versus waves of spawning monsters, enemies that came from the original Unreal. This is something that UT Black edition does not have.

I have some of these on Steam. But, I'm not even sure there's a consistently active community for them. I do want to play through the Unreal Gold campaign at some point but it seems to me the big seller for these titles was the online gameplay with my only prior experience with them being the OG Xbox version.

Whether it be Unreal Tournament or something else, I wouldn't mind seeing a good, active arena shooter. And Quake Champions isn't it, given it's full of subscription services, in-game currency, and is limited on game play modes AKA variety.

I think Unreal Tournament will forever be confined to the past.

I don't know so it would be available on Epic Games Launcher?

First off, Unreal was not generic. Second, Quake 3 came out after the first Unreal Tournament.

Unreal came out in 1998. Quake came out in 1996.

Hell, I occasionally see screenshots of Unreal and confuse it for Quake 2.
You need to get your eyes checked.
It seems nobody is interested in Jazz Jackrabbit 3D.

I cant blame them, what 2D->3D game where actually good back in the day? exception of Duke nukem 3D.
Can someone make the next big arena shooter or shooter in general? I am having shooter withdrawals, and I care not for battle royals (which is all there is anymore)
((no do not bring up COD dont you dare bring up COD to me.))

Going from Link to the Past to Ocarina of Time was mind-blowing in many ways. Even more than Mario 64, with it's godawful controls.

And little ♥♥♥♥♥ these days have the chutzpah to call OOT "retro."

I don't care about Tim Sweeney's Winnie the Pooh sponsored leather club, nor do I care about the sellouts at Gog and Magog. This changes nothing, as they're both equally deserving of my ire.

Also Marathon > Unreal Tournament > Half-Life.
UT wasn't even that great back in the day. It was the mods it spawned like Red Orchestra.
I guess like Doom Eternal Jazz Jackrabbit 3D would have both single player and local or online multiplayer mode.
I heard Unreal was originally intended to have online multiplayer, but it was renamed Unreal Tournament according to my research digital analysis.
