Unreal/Unreal Tournament Games Will Be Delisted On GoG As Well
You thought the games being delisted on Steam was bad? Just wait until the 23rd where they'll be removed on GoG as well. CD Project tried to negotiate with Epic to keep the games on there, but Epic refused.

Unreal was always pretty generic. It's just a Quake knockoff.

There's a hell of a lot more interesting games like Vice City, Mercenaries, The Thing, or Alpha Protocol that got delisted or outright removed from sale period. Some of those games vanished altogether.

Save your tears for games that really deserve it.
First off, Unreal was not generic. Second, Quake 3 came out after the first Unreal Tournament.

Unreal came out in 1998. Quake came out in 1996.

Hell, I occasionally see screenshots of Unreal and confuse it for Quake 2.

The Steam store page of Unreal Tournament 3: Black Edition now reads:
"Notice: Unreal Tournament 3 X is no longer available on the Steam store.
This title is currently unavailable and will be available in the future. Stay tuned!"

So, apparently there are plans to bring UT3 Black Edition back on the Steam store? And only this Unreal title, but not the other titles?

If they will release it on Steam again for sure it will have ePig online malware patched into it.
Good for me that I don't like any of those games.
Epic: throws unreal tournament under the bus
Unreal tournament was the game that made Epic

You don't do this kind of stuff

No, the right thing to do is aim for a Unreal Engine 5+ edition of the game

Then no one will play cod or csgo, probably

That was the tradition. Each engine release had a first party game to showcase it.
I really wanted to see a new, modern Unreal Tournament, but, pandering Forknife to children was more important to Epic as a company.

At this point, Epic is nothing more than Fortknife and a game engine more creative people use.

And ZZT; The real game that made Epic. And predecessor of Dwarf Fortress in many ways.

Yeah, it was released as freeware long ago, but should still be in storefronts.
Epic has really been doing their best to encourage piracy these past few years, huh?

I guess that's the way of getting drained out free space of HDD or SSD partitions very quickly.
