In almost all FPS games, the Red Dot is always vastly superior to the Holographic Sight.
Why the hell didn't anyone figure out a way to make the Holographic Sight attractive compared to the simple Red Dot?

:deeperwrench: So how do you do so?

I think the issue is the reticle size (in games at least. IRL the holos may be better). In game, the dot is much cleaner as opposed to the eotech or acog reticles. Personally I don't use red sight at all as as weapon attachment, preferring to use irons and use better attachments, in most cases.

In real life and in game iron sights! I have told a friend and someone who is no longer a friend that if you use assisted sights then you will shoot like s**t but shooting for years with iron's will make you a better shooter. Things should be properly functional not attractive lol.

It's Activision, that's why.

I don't know if you've ever looked through a real Eotech, but unless you have perfect vision, the circle and dot are pretty much a circle blob. A red dot will also be blobby with said vision, but will be far less so due to dot size, especially a small, 2MOA dot.
