I am now an Atheist.
I am a former roman catholic, I found the Bible has too many errors and contradictions now I don't believe on God like there are literally thousands of religions floating around, how can I be so sure that it is the real God, so I finally admit that I was wrong about doubting science and God isn't real if he is really an "all loving God" he shouldn't make this world a f8cked up place to live like sufferings and pain are literally here on this world of ours.

There is no god, only lifeforms isolated on a giant rock turning around a star in space. We were never able to prove god's existence nor to see any impact from a surnatural entity on our world. The only thing we see is physic's laws in application over time and that's about it.

But you don't have to trust science either. For example, everyone learn about the big bang, while forgotting it's only a theory, we have no proof that's what happened. Someday you can wake up in a world were the big bang is proved wrong or right. Science isn't about saying truths to peoples, science is a method used to find what's the most probable theory to be true. Never forget about that, science isn't the same thing as a religion and you should not "believe in science", there is no need for beliefs at all in science.

You are applying human logic to a godly entity.
Isn't it strange that once you start applying logic to religion or godly beings it completely falls apart? Almost like it has no credibility to begin with. Almost like logic and rational thought trump it every time. Almost like religion thrives in ignorance and was invented by a bunch of goat herders who had no clue how people, the world or the universe works.

I can't wait until we bury religion forever and can finally move on from our past, stupid selves.

he's perfect because... he's perfect?

are you saying that a being that was exactly like god except for the fact that they can accurately predict what people might do, is worse than him? even though they could do everything he can and more, on top of having the same perfect intentions?

also i'm not dictating the nature of perfection, i'm stating that the definition of perfection implies that nothing can be better than perfection
Oh boy, if you cannot understand that there is literally nothing I could tell you that would work. Let me speak in gamer term, maybe that one will work.

If Nintendo give Mario a machine gun. Is it still a Mario game? Yes, because they make the damn thing. Is this clear enough?

religious people on their way to respond to a well-thought and in-depth argument about the lack of credibility of religion with "lol atheism/science is a religion"

Logic? You mean the idea we "know" everything?

People have "faith" all the time but don't admit it. They believe they can make plans long into the future, that their technology will work, that they can do whatever they want, but life doesn't work that way. Because there's more going on than we want to admit.

My girlfriend and I see Christianity in the "death" of winter and the "life" of spring, in how creation is designed by an intelligence far beyond human understanding.

This is a broken world with broken people and a broken creation, but my girlfriend and I believe in a redeeming savior who died to save creation.

Believe what you will, but as for me and my house we serve the Lord.

In a sense though...

People need to be careful not to get too drunk on "facts" that may change as science progresses. Still plenty of stuff we don't understand in the most basic building blocks of the universe.

People who use science as a shield against fear will use it just like a religion... after all people prefer a comfortable lie than and uncomfortable truth.

OP you might want to keep your atheism under your hat, so to speak. There are many religious people, maybe most of them, who are insecure in their faith, and who will react negatively toward your disbelief. Some of them violently.

I've heard it all before:
"We don't know therefor God." Like I said; religion thrives in ignorance.

Humans will never know everything. All the knowledge we've collected is just tiny a speck on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of nothing. Even if we survive till the heat-death of the universe we will always just be monkeys chasing rainbows.

Yes people have faith but not in the religious sense of the word. It comes more from hope and trust that something will come about, not blind devotion based on nothing.
I mean I have faith that my computer will turn on when I get up tomorrow because I know how electricity and PC hardware works. I have more faith in computer parts made in some Chinese sweatshop than any religion.
Sure we don't know if anything will really work out because life is full of infinite variables, but we can make those variables smaller by learning how things work and not just going off blind faith.

Logic will always be the enemy of religion.

literally the thing that makes human knowledge more trustworthy than religion is that it admits it has flaws, it admits it could change, and it's not afraid to evolve

religions on the other hand claim to have the secrets of the universe from the hand of the person behind it, and so they can't change when reality contradicts them; instead they either get bent and twisted in order to say "see, we said this all along!" or deny reality itself

"lol science can change" isn't the own you think it is; on the contrary it's what makes it more trustworthy than any religion

A few facts.

Each day, millions of people around the world pray for the atheist.
The Atheist is thought of compassionately, and not hated by most all believers.
For thousands of years, humans have concerned themselves with telling others to listen.
To ignore and have never even heard it told in full isn't just ignorance, it is rebellion.
The atheist knows this is rebellion deep down but pride controls the ego.
I know this because I was once an atheist as well.
I still struggle daily as a believer, as all do.
Most aren't either believers or atheists, but simply selfish lost people.
The true atheist is a very rare thing.

Relax. This isn't church and no one here will be converted.
This is OP's aim, not mine.

For God, he certainly doesn't need our trust nor belief.

Still, i don't invite anyone to follow my own set of rules nor thoughts. I am as relaxed as this man below:

Thank you for the bump though.

I believe Christians are saved by grace, that is in spite of their sinfulness. I don't deserve to be saved but am because of God's love. People who know me well understand how true that is because they easily see my many flaws.

So I can't and won't attack non believers and simply hope and pray they see that the fact I'm saved is proof practically anyone can be saved and then understand how deep God's love is for his children.

I don't think God loves you if he threatens you with eternal pain and fiery hell.

I am amazed even using gamer term didn't suffice. Too bad I suck when it comes to toddler terms. XD

Like, how hard is it to understand that you cannot say that god is not perfect when he's the guy who makes the rules? Whatever concept we have of perfection is completely irrelevant.
