I can't wait until we bury religion forever and can finally move on from our past, stupid selves.
/mic drop
religious people on their way to respond to a well-thought and in-depth argument about the lack of credibility of religion with "lol atheism/science is a religion"
Logic? You mean the idea we "know" everything?
People have "faith" all the time but don't admit it. They believe they can make plans long into the future, that their technology will work, that they can do whatever they want, but life doesn't work that way. Because there's more going on than we want to admit.
My girlfriend and I see Christianity in the "death" of winter and the "life" of spring, in how creation is designed by an intelligence far beyond human understanding.
This is a broken world with broken people and a broken creation, but my girlfriend and I believe in a redeeming savior who died to save creation.
Believe what you will, but as for me and my house we serve the Lord.
People need to be careful not to get too drunk on "facts" that may change as science progresses. Still plenty of stuff we don't understand in the most basic building blocks of the universe.
People who use science as a shield against fear will use it just like a religion... after all people prefer a comfortable lie than and uncomfortable truth.
"We don't know therefor God." Like I said; religion thrives in ignorance.
Humans will never know everything. All the knowledge we've collected is just tiny a speck on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of nothing. Even if we survive till the heat-death of the universe we will always just be monkeys chasing rainbows.
Yes people have faith but not in the religious sense of the word. It comes more from hope and trust that something will come about, not blind devotion based on nothing.
I mean I have faith that my computer will turn on when I get up tomorrow because I know how electricity and PC hardware works. I have more faith in computer parts made in some Chinese sweatshop than any religion.
Sure we don't know if anything will really work out because life is full of infinite variables, but we can make those variables smaller by learning how things work and not just going off blind faith.
Logic will always be the enemy of religion.
religions on the other hand claim to have the secrets of the universe from the hand of the person behind it, and so they can't change when reality contradicts them; instead they either get bent and twisted in order to say "see, we said this all along!" or deny reality itself
"lol science can change" isn't the own you think it is; on the contrary it's what makes it more trustworthy than any religion
what the ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with you
no seriously what the ♥♥♥♥
Each day, millions of people around the world pray for the atheist.
The Atheist is thought of compassionately, and not hated by most all believers.
For thousands of years, humans have concerned themselves with telling others to listen.
To ignore and have never even heard it told in full isn't just ignorance, it is rebellion.
The atheist knows this is rebellion deep down but pride controls the ego.
I know this because I was once an atheist as well.
I still struggle daily as a believer, as all do.
Most aren't either believers or atheists, but simply selfish lost people.
The true atheist is a very rare thing.
the ♥♥♥♥ are you on about
For God, he certainly doesn't need our trust nor belief.
Still, i don't invite anyone to follow my own set of rules nor thoughts. I am as relaxed as this man below:

Thank you for the bump though.
So I can't and won't attack non believers and simply hope and pray they see that the fact I'm saved is proof practically anyone can be saved and then understand how deep God's love is for his children.
Like, how hard is it to understand that you cannot say that god is not perfect when he's the guy who makes the rules? Whatever concept we have of perfection is completely irrelevant.
