RCT1 has a better difficulty curve than RCT2, but RCT2 has QoL and an open source version from the community that is really nice; OpenRCT2. Timeless lovely pixel graphics.
RCT3 is a bit old but still a solid game if you can see past the miniscule UI and limited 3D graphics.
Planet Coaster does RCT quite well too, in a modern game.
Avoid RollerCoaster World (games released after RCT3) and any mobile adaptations.
Also check PCGamingWiki or the forums as well in case you need to apply a few fixes, but in general I've had minimal issues with those games on a modern Win10 PC.
I would do the vertical coasters and then set the speed to way too high and then make graveyards in my theme parks right next to the vertical coasters
Then I will reset the speed, inspect it, increase the speed after inspection and reopen it
Nothing like people paying to die.
Anyone trying to leave my parks would be hand picked and isolated away from the park, or drowned.
I'm a good person...
You should YouTube the person called "Marcel Vos" you might like his content.
I think I might have seen one of his videos where a rollercoaster was made to last 14 years or something lol
I'll definitely check out his content. I just like seeing very dark behavior of people playing seemingly normal games.
GrayStillPlays is also hilarious.
RCT 3 is still okay. Gameplay is decent and the expansion packs were awesome, but it's graphics are atrocious by today's standards and have aged terribly compared to the pixely graphics of the first two games.
Everything in the franchise after the first three games is garbage.
Outside of the franchise, Parkitect is a great successor. Planet Coaster is also decent if you like spending a lot of time decorating but it can be a bit overwhelming and tedious because of all the freedom you have with placing things.
I own RCT Classic and it's essentially RCT 2 but it includes all the scenarios from RCT 1 (which were better than RCT 2) as well.
