Gonna have to go with the PS2 tho, I mean it had SO many exclusives.
Armored Core Series
Okami
Jax and Daxter
Grand Turismo
Beyond Good & Evil
Devil May Cry
Those are a couple from the top of my head... Sony really had kickass games on their console.
Microsoft had some great franchises too but I feel they REALLY got into the game with the 360.
But, Okami, while a bit easy as a game.. Really is one of the most beautiful videogame ever created... Clover Studio was really quite a different breed...
Yeah, but this is about modern gaming and non-exclusives as well.
I bet barely anyone will pull a Sega on games from that generation anytime soon.
I totally forgot about the Dreamcast, but wasn't the library a bit lackluster?
IT HAD SEAMAN! 🐟
(I beat it too)
A memorable AVGN episode. 👌
I've just looked up the games it had, and yeah, none really caught my eye. Plus, many famous first party titles are officially available for PC now and due to the consoles short life-cycle, the games are even more rarer and expensive than for XBox and GameCube.
Eh, more like 6½.
I only care for the Wii because it's cheap and GameCube compatible.
GameCube is last real system from Nintendo before they went to ♥♥♥♥ but got far less exclusives and is well emulated so not worth my time but yeah they're pretty much all great choices from the golden era of gaming. Wii is 7th gen and was and still is trash and responsible for nintendo's decline, unless you have a specific use case for one like modding it to play 80s/90s emulators on a small system that can output to a CRT or you care about any exclusives.
I beg to differ. PC ports often lack features like split-screen multiplayer and co-op. In addition, PC releases are often DRM-ridden and some cross-platform titles were not released on PC.
Also, as a modern gamer, I can't confirm your issues playing exclusives on PC.
But you have a point regarding price and controls.
