I don't like reading books.
I hate when people say "books are fun to read" like it's a fact.

They think people don't like books because they (the people) lack imagination and creativity, and that is B for BULLSHT. Video games have imagination (well if you play the right games and not recycled garbage), so why can't I like that along with movies?

I personally have gotten into comic books and i have enjoyed it. But when i read actual books. I just can't get into it or i am not interested in reading books. It's my least favorite past time. I would prefer to just play video games, or watch a movie. That is just me. I hope people would respect that. But going on, i actually had this talk with my younger sister about this. She reads books and enjoys movies and also slighty play's video games. She brought up the copy and paste argument, saying that "i have a lack of imagination" because i play video games too much. I told her that no matter how much games we play or books we read. We will still have some sort of imaginative and creative experience. In which it dosen't really matter at all and it would be foolish to be one sided on things, since we can't really learn at all if we are just going to be one sided. The games i mentioned in proving my point is sanbox type games. I had to also mention that games could be mindless shooters, but this dosen't mean that every game is a mindless shooter. Some games involve imagination, creative ideas, strategy, and much more. This is my take on it. If there are thing's you think that you don't agree, talk about it.

I dont see people who dont enjoy reading but like video games as lacking "imagination", they just use there imagination in a different kind of way. It takes imagination to enjoy a game, other wise why are you even playing it?

Surely video games have more imagination than movies or even (some) book, especially if it's an open ended game that's not so linear.

good lord. Learn paragraph structure.

And what comics. I have a few non reader tales you wil get right into, even though the author talks a lot.

Poison Elves is the best comic ever. Luce really speaks to me. With all the insane violence.

One problem I have with comics is the sheer amount of content, there's like 500 million series and 500 billion issues, there's barely and starting ground, everything is halfway through something.

Sorry man i am lazy to put it into paragraph stucture. I'd rather just speak my mind without worrying about editing lol. But i mostly read IDK transformers, and some times dead pool. But i am still trying to collect a huge portion of some of the issues of both comics.

Hmm. I understand. Myself; I don't like 'em neither but have nothing particularly against reading (by it self).

I personally dont care for reading but that been said gmaes are like books, they tell a story and (if you grew up playing playstation) require a bunch of reading, only difference is you could see it and interact without haveing to picture it in your head. Take Legend of Dragoon on the playstation for example it had little voice overs so you had to read it, my teacher even let me use it for a book report cause I wouldnt read lmao xD my point is there isnt much difference. I doubt reading eill be replaced by emoji just because so much requires reading not just books in general :)

PS I in no way enjoy reading myself just saying lol

I used to love reading fiction. I devoured them as a kid, would check out huge stacks from the library, read a book or more a day, that sort of thing. It became a pretty expensive hobby (when I stopped wanting to borrow and wanted to own) since I read even large novels at a very fast clip. I'd agree with the others about how you can get totally lost in them if you're reading a lot in one stretch.

But these days I don't read very much fiction. Forums, news, non-fiction mostly.

If you don't like reading books when you don't *have* to read, nothing wrong with it. No hobby is for everyone.

2 words my friend... AUDIO BOOKS... But you have to get the good ones where the characters in the book are voiced by actors.... DO NOT get the boring ass ones from the library!

It's parents thingy, they make children think books are must and be forced to be read, and forgetting the idea that boom were made for excitement and pleasure of your soul.
Toad Mooks 8 ABR 2016 a las 14:04
Uh, and also education?
I would say the first written examples were definatly for keeping a record or teching something.
