How in the world did we came on top of the food chain?
Also, fun fact: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persistence_hunting
Well for starters it is thought that we used to be considerably stronger. Higher bone density and reinforced joint structure in proto-humans suggests a higher muscle density as well, to say nothing of what it did to the bones of their prey.
IMO, however, the more important factor is that animals are stupid. To animals, including predators, humans appear to be very scary and large predators themselves. Eyes in front. They don't know how weak we are, so unless they really feel like they have to fight, they'll usually take off at full speed.
Of course, humans also tend to clump together in tribes, which magnifies the terror. It may be difficult to see in us but look at gorillas. Who ****s with gorillas? Not lions, who will take down straggling hippos. Nobody messes with them except ♥♥♥♥ sapiens proper.
And by the time we were that, the real race was long since over.
Our ancestors were robust, as C4Warr10r said, but we turned gracile for beneficial reasons.
We became bipedal, which was the trade off for an arboreal life.
Our brain and cranial capacity grew, allowing us to adopt tools, for the trade off for higher calorie requirements and an extended ontogeny. (infants in our species take long to develop because of our large brains.) Some anthropologists suggest this is why we started to eat meat, because of the much needed protein for our increasing brain size.
The main 2 factors to why we are so successful as a species are: Our brain size and our adaptability.
Take a course in physical anthropology and you'll find out how amazing we truly are.
It doesn't require brute force or considerable physical features for a species to be on top of the food chain.
You should probably run from Elephants, Crocodiles/Alligators and hippopotami? Hippopotamuses?

Or that's what I percieve from the video.
Unless we're talking about the predators from alien versus predator. They just kill for sport.
I am not an expert in hunting... :T
