I'm thinking about boycotting Cinemassacre (AVGN creator)

IMPORTANT NOTE: I am NOT telling you to boycott Cinemassacre with me, but I need some clearance on whether I have to do this based on the evidence I am about to give out, because I have plenty of arguments for and against my potential decision. After all, this is going to be a very long post, and I know that I may be heavily criticized for my evidence, and therefore heavily depressed for what I am about to be criticized for.
I used to love the Angry Video Game Nerd and everything associated, but the creator seems to heavily bash a lot of things, and I would heavily disagree with him on those points. Most notably are some of the episodes in the YKWBS series. While there are some episodes I agree with, like the "Christmas Aftermath" episode, there are other episodes that are really harsh. The first one is the one about temperature:

Now, I have never heard of anyone EVER bash the very IDEA of temperature EVER. Temperature is one of the most natural things ever in the entire universe and we are so used to it, I would never even begin to see a video of somebody ranting and wishing temperature never existed!
The next episode I really have to disagree with is the iTunes episode:

The main point he brought up is the fact that there are constant updates degrading its quality (from his point of view). So he outright refrains from updating in the first place. But a lot of evidence, including this quote from a Verge article about Windows 10, suggests that he really NEEDS to update for an important reason. "The bottom line is that rapid patching is the single best way to keep a system secure whether it's Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS or Android. To recommend that users indefinitely delay installing updates is irresponsible and down right dangerous."
The last episode has to do with "Sleep". Yes, he's actually bashing the very IDEA of sleep! Sleep is so natural in life! Like Temperature, I have never heard anyone EVER even BEGINNING to criticize the idea of sleep! We're so used to it, that I would actually disagree with anyone even BEGINNING to start criticizing it and wishing SLEEP never existed!

Before you post any replies, this is not just YKWBS. When Super Mario 3D World came out, Mike Matei posted a rant video about how the White Tanooki Suit makes the game impossible to lose and basically just ruins the whole game.

But Jimquisition just recently posted a whole episode basically disagreeing with that rant. I actually agree with him on what he says in that video.

One of the arguments against my boycott is that the AVGN series is still funny. But he has made some points I disagree with. The first example is when he criticized the fact that the 3DO has only one controller port. Well, Adam Koralik actually has a good reason for this one controller port that I agree with (see 15:48 of this video):

The other example I would like to point out is when he criticized Jaguar cartridges for having handles at the top. Again, Adam has similar defense for this design (see 14:34 of this video):

The final nail in the coffin happens to be a "need help" post on the official website about external hard drives. He asks for a simple hard drive solution of certain specs. I could sum it up as him saying this about external hard drives: "I just want something simple that just works." But I have rapidly self-learned that sometimes, you just can't have something that "just works". I have realised that EFFORT in general is the number 1 thing that we absolutely DON'T WANT, yet it is the number 1 thing we absolutely NEED in order to succeed. Yes, he puts effort into filming and editing his videos, but if he wants to get what he wants, he needs to put EFFORT into getting what he wants, even when it has to do with dealing with countless technical issues.

With all of these examples, I would have been ready to just give up on following Cinemassacre for good. But I have one more piece of huge praise for him that makes me so indecisive on my boycott in the first place. He watches and reviews movies with a COMPLETELY open mind. I can't show a lot of examples right now, but he says that the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake is decent on its own, but a dissapointment as a remake. He also says that the 1998 Godzilla movie is a decent monster movie, but really doesn't deserve to be called "Godzilla". Even though a lot of people hate them for obvious reasons, he doesn't bash them nearly as much, because he looks at them with a completely open mind.
If I were to boycott Cinemassacre, then after watching his latest episode, Mega Man games, I would unsubscribe from his YouTube channel, remove his site from my bookmarks, add him to my YouTube channel blocker, and finally remove Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie from my Steam library.

If you can't handle your argument being critiqued, I question why you made this in the first place. As for your question, I feel that you don't have a strong enough case to even begin a boycott against Cinemassacre/AVGN. Just my two cents.

I completely forgot. I just managed to read the script to the YKWBS sleep episode and found out that it's not sleep in general that he hates. It's the fact that "early birds" make fun of the "night owls", and that I kinda understand. Sorry for saying that he hates sleep in the first place.
