i dont know the name of the BIG royalty dog. the one that looks giant but is incredibly gental. try that first. or a herby scwortz.
If you are anywhere near a mother grizzly’s cubs, she might very well perceive you as a threat. The chances are good that she will just bluff charge and stop well short of physical contact. You need to do whatever you can to show her that you are not a threat, otherwise the consequences could be tragic. They will even climb a tree after you.
So be quiet, make yourself smaller and retreat. Or just play dead.
Maybe i could try to scare the mom off with gunshots
Yeah, as cool as it sounds to have a pet bear or whatever, I doubt the ending is gonna be anywhere as cool.
A gun sound might scare a bear, but a mother won't leave her cub and be coming right back. She doesn't actually want to pick a fight, but if forced into one, she will give her life for her cub. She doesn't know what a gun is remember.
Consider it this way. You want a human baby and you are going to steal it from it's mother. How would that mother react?
Also, pepper spray or bear spray is a better option to fight off a bear, rather than a gun. Even if you shot a bear, it would keep on coming.
It is not legal to keep a wild bear of any breed as a pet.
If mom is dead, and the cub is orphaned, you must contact a licensed wildife rehabilitator. Else if caught with the cub, you will be seriously fined. They will take the cub. When the bear grows, understand it's not domesticated and most of the time turn back to being wild and attack you or just die. Bears are considered "one of the most challenging species to keep in captivity".
Consider a Siberian Husky dog instead, another manage handful, checky, intelligent and full of energy. Similar to a bear/wolve, but less deadly. Note: They need exercise, to run, to play, and/or a job.
Grizzlys are bigger and more badass, i like all bears, especially pandas
But I'll just leave you with

AND since you all like pictures, here is one that shows all the Bear Country States. See the dark colored states? No permit required to own a primate, tiger, or a Bear. Better start calling those states to find someone that can make you a bear saddle. You are going to need one!
