what to do with people on your friends list that you don't talk to or make you feel awkward?

Deleting is exactly that simple. If they want you as a friend, they will send you another invite. More than likely, they won't even notice you are gone. Whey keep people you don't talk to on you "Friends" list? They are not your friends.

I just remove them. If you're not going to have the decency to respond back to me when I say 'hi' to you every so often, then why are you 'friends' with me to begin with?

It does piss me off if i send something and they ignore it, yet i feel like making no effort to try to talk to some people cause of dull cliche replies. I only ever talk to a few people on my list anyway...

No, a 'parting shot'. Its a final remark, usually cutting or derogatory, made just before departing.

I have a lot of friends I don't talk to as well, the thing is I go back pretty far with a lot of them, I used to frequent another forum and met a lot of cool people there, and now I've got a friends list full of people I really don't talk to anymore.
