Your true opinion about Star Wars Prequels?

Star Wars Prequels (episodes I - III, from 1999 to 2005) are often made fun of, and as the Original trilogy has reached a legendary status to the point where nobody dares to question its awesomeness, the prequels have reached the point where nobody cares enough to question all the hate that they receive.

Yes, Jar Jar was bad.
Yes, there was too much CGI
Yes, the overuse of CGI was a bad idea because it didn't age very well.

But if we compare it to other films of it's time, instead of the original trilogy, is it really that abysmal?

I think that:
1. Lovestory between Anakin and Padme is the worst ♥♥♥♥ing romance ever captured
2. Hayden Christensen (Anakin) downrigh sucks
3. Episode II is the worst in the trilogy
4. I don't care about Jar Jar

WHat I don't understand is people saying that the CGI looks like ♥♥♥♥. In the Phantom Menace? Yes, there it's pretty outdated. But I'm talking about backgrounds and and other minor things, the battle of Jar Jars (Gungans) at the end was really high quality for 1999. Attack of the Clones? It is meh in every way. But CGI in the Revenge of the Sith is really good, especially the opening scene.

My rating of all Star Wars movies:
A New Hope - 10/10
The Empire Strikes Back - 9/10
Return of the Jedi - 9/10 (8/10 if we count the new CGI)
The Phantom Menace - 4/10
Attack of the Clones - 5/10
Revenge of the Sith - 7/10
Force Awakens - 6/10 (YES, I THINK FORCE AWAKENS IS WORSE THAN REVENGE OF THE SITH, SCREW YOU TRYHARD FANBOYS WHO LOVE THIS THING ONLY BECAUSE IT HAS HAN SOLO IN IT)

The stories for episodes 1-3 could've easily been better, a lot of it seemed hastily written.

Didn't care to watch the last one yet because it's just Hollywood trying to sell box office tickets.

Well, it's altready out on Blu-Ray and DVD, so even if you aren't that much of a Star Wars fan, I still recommend watching it, it's pretty decent.

Jesus people its just some films, its purely a matter of taste.
For what its worth I can watch all the films and enjoy them for what they are, entertainment.

Wow I've finally found the post that shows Studio Cat and I weren't separated at birth!

My order would go:

Empire
Return of the Jedi (Palpatine is just too awesome to rate his over ANH)
A New Hope
The Force Awakens aka A New Hope 2.0
Revenge of the Sith, where half is ok and half is crap
Clone Wars = Phantom Menace = it's all cgi garbage

I really enjoyed The Force Awakens even though it's stupid to base the structure so closely to A New Hope's. And having yet ANOTHER 'Death Star' of sorts was also stupid. CGI Snoke is stupid, he should have been a real guy or at the very least make him with practical effects. Hire Rob Bouttin's team and that ♥♥♥♥ will look awesome! Why can Finn or Ray suddenly pick up, use, and MASTER a friggin light saber?? Who the hell knows!

That being said, the new main characters are about a billion times better than any prequel characters not named Obi Wan (Ewan McGreggor did what he could with those atrocious scripts). Very likable. Kylo Ren lost a lot of coolness once he took the mask off and started slicing up stuff in hissy fits however I'm pretty sure he's going to be way more badass in this next one.

And 10 seconds of a wordless Luke is better than all 6 hours of prequel junk IMO.

Oh. I never said they were good movies. They really are just kind of meh. They are kind of fun to watch, and a big part of my childhood.

I could name better sci-fi space movies without even thinking. Moon. Sunshine, Serenity, Silent Running (The older sci-fi buffs will remember this films greatness), Blade Runner.

I just pointed out my preferred viewing list from best to worst.

Damn you Mirror Universe me! Actually, I like the first 30 minutes of Jedi a LOT. If the film had stayed like that, It would probably rate higher than Empire. But it didn't. It got Ewoks all over everything. It spawned TWO Ewok movies and a cartoon show. They were like Space Herpies.

I liked 3 over Jedi because it gave me that same feeling Empire did as a kid. What? NO! The bad guys are killing EVERYONE! It had it's silly moments, but was far superior to the first two, and filled in some important lore details.

And VII It was a good return to form, but it REALLY was A New Hope but prettier.

watching the last one made me feel like being hit in the head with a brick...poor acting, terrible plot,highly overrated either that or standards dropped though the floor can't wait to see the mess they make with the next one Dark Horse comics version would have been better
