This is only partially correct, you are right but there is more to it. Besides all of that, modern software systems makes it easier to port games and do cross platform development, unreal engine 4 and Unity 3D are perfect examples.
Regardless of if Microsoft sell a game on Windows or Xbox one they are making money and both platform is owned by Microsoft. its a conflict of interest but at the same time its still their system. Windows store is in their interest but so is xbox live.
We just happen to live in fortunate times where this is possible and those of us who live in countries with heavy import tax and dollar devaluation don't have to fork over $600 USD etc just to play 1 or 2 exclusives.
I can break it down more simply
if nobody wants to buy your crap games what difference does it matter if its on PC or xbox.
please understand I am not saying the games are crap I am using that statement to make my point crystal clear for effect.
That point is as crystal clear as possible if you ask me
And I am making the point again which you seem unable to grasp, xbox one exclusives are massive sellers. This has NOTHING to do with people not wanting to buy your game.
In many countries the Xbox One costs upwards of $600 USD with a 1 year online subscription that you are going to need. Most people with responsibilities have to choose, we don't live in a fairy tale world where everything is handed to us and where money is grown on trees like you seem to believe. There is huge dollar devaluation going on where your $100,000 in the bank account has just been devalued due to the drop in oil price and the US dollar strength increasing that $100,000 is now worth $50,000 if you are buying an American product.
We make choices and sacrifices when we live in the real world, xbox, PS4 or PC. Its called the real world, microsoft is making it possible and easier for people who can't afford all these platforms. Why is this so difficult for you to understand?
so your position is that there are a large number of PC gamers would want to play console exclusives but for one reason or another do not have a console.
I disagree.
we need the number on that and I dont think we ever can.
Its crystal clear? maybe to someone who can't think yeah, you forgot to ask him where is his evidence that nobody wants to buy Xbox consoles or xbox exclusives and if you believe that then I have a bridge to sell you.
{HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}http://www.gamespot.com/articles/despite-ps4-price-cut-xbox-one-tops-october-2015-u/1100-6432257/
Xbox One was still the best selling console in the US up till october 2015 so again provide some proof that NOBODY wants xbox or its games and I might take you seriously.
What is so hard to understand about that?
In many countries a computer is seen as a learning tool and is not subjected to tax. Some countries in the Caribbean are prime examples.
Thereby making a PC cheaper than a Console. A shocker isn't it?
You do realize the USA is not the only country in the world right?
this is my official position and not an obfuscated version of it.
'there are likely not a large number of PC gamers would want to play console exclusives but for one reason or another do not have a console. I do think they exist but i do not think they represent a large number.'
The statement was not calling the games crap. The point of it was hypothetically speaking if someone were to think a game as bad on console then why would their minds be swayed with the same game on PC
careful now..you are about to find yourself saying this new tech is such a major hit because it will help out 3rd world countries...think about the plays ahead of time there
yes that was my point. it was a bit of a side point and it got us distracted so sorry about that. its a point that is not really important to the conversation
I think Sony should bring PlayStation exclusives over to the PC platform as it will make them a bigger profit (that is if the game breaks even). One of the PlayStation bosses stated that PlayStation VR coming to the PC is a possibility, so maybe there is hope for PlayStation software to come to the PC as well.
That sounds interesting
