Hitman isn't terribly hard either.
Devs already said only 20% of hitman players can even finish one of their whole games...
COngrats if your in 20% ;)
I was that over 10 years ago. :D
To me it was just a logic puzzle game. I enjoy problem solving and strategy and looking for loopholes in things.
I found it to be very much a thinking game and I came to enjoy doing things to make the AI look foolish.
Yeah in absolution they tried that wallhax batman crap. Good thing in purist mode it doesnt work.
Absolution and Bloodmoney were the only ones I didnt perfect with SA rating. ironically easier then the first 3.
I sincerely hope you're right. It's not the games themselves but peoples attitudes to them that worries me. If they are a loud minority then hopefully I am worried over nothing. And I hope you enjoy DOOM, I understand it won't be for everyone but the reaction to it seems to be wildly disproportionate.
And I completed Hitman 2 and 3 way back when on the PS2, stealth games where always my jam but as I said I'm a casual gamer now and don't have the patience to get good at that ♥♥♥♥ anymore.
Ah, Splinter Cell used to be difficult-ish until Conviction which went for a more cinematic approach. It's actually the only SC I like. But Ubisoft have downhill a fair bit.
@ACharacter It could be an insecurity thing. Like they don't have many other skills or hobbies and so they're forced to go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with gaming. And I get that about stricking with ideas, consistency is a big thing for me. But then you get the Dark Souls fans that go nuts after the idea of an easy mode was suggested. The other side of that coin.
For me a game like that is easier than these games that require super reflexes and crap.
