Basically pretending to be someone with the end goal being a close relationship, now I have never been catfished but I do know somenoe who has been and it tore him up pretty bad. Its scary with the anonmity of the internet. I have used dumb apps like tinder (for the goofs) and I just cant help but think they were all fake profiles.

So be honest, even if you didnt meet the person do you think you have been on the merge of being catfished?

One guy was dating a girl who's pictures were stolen from an Asian celebrity. Due to the fact he was wasn't Asian, he wasn't aware of it and presumed he was dating some model. He was devastated when I made a joke about liking one of the movies she was in, kinda feel bad now.

I find it very common for Asians to use unknown celebrity pictures to pose as themselves. The beauty of reverse image searching can prevent it, not a 100% rate ofc.

Ive noticed the asian thing aswell, atleast a friend was the one to tell him though. I think it would have been worse if they would have found out the harder way
