Editing Software for Youtube

So it turns out Windows 8.1 doesn't have Windows Movie Maker. Does anyone have any recommendations to editing software? Ranging from "Free" to something that won't really break the bank, maybe up to $50 maximum? Any suggestions?

And, if it helps, I'm gonna be a sellout and record video games. A bit of animation and covers here and there, but mainly video games :P

I use the sony's movie studio platinum, which is priced 80 bucks and I recommend it warmly. Then theres a cheaper option: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/buy/moviestudio?disp=1

which is 50 bucks, but I dont know how big is the difference between the two.

Dont know too much about good but free editing softwares, sorry.

Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Jackscepticeye, other crap. I don't know, TheGamingLemon? There's a lot of people who already make gaming videos, and it's almost always the same thing, in my opinion. But at least people can see me and my friends get eaten alive by The Horde or get rekt in GMod or something.

Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Jackscepticeye, other crap. I don't know, TheGamingLemon? There's a lot of people who already make gaming videos, and it's almost always the same thing, in my opinion. But at least people can see me and my friends get eaten alive by The Horde or get rekt in GMod or something.

I don't like Pewdiepie or Markiplier that much. But the two latter channels are pretty good. But I can assure that they aren't "sellouts" persay
