Kardashev scale in games.
The kardashev ranks Civilizations based on power, type I ranking a civilization that uses the power equivalent to a planet, type II harnesses its whole star, and type III harnessing a galaxy. Any civilizations in games that would fit any of these?

It's a scale to measure the development of a civilization as a whole. Search it up for more information on it.

The Combine appears to generate/use lots of power.

It’s simple.
A type I Kardashian has a bum the size of a planet. Type II the size of a star. And type III the size of the entire galaxy

Which type do you think they’d fall into?

If combine is three, then i guess Caldari Empire in EvE would be three as well

It doesn’t really matter what their military capabilities are. Its sorted purely based on energy usage. The combine do have the technology to travel between universes, which is pretty amazing if you ask me.

So basically how unrealistically advanced a civilization is?

Odd thing to scale tbh.

Mmh.
I'm a bit rusty on HL lore, but I would say 3. Despite the fact that it struggled and failed to take down one man in a suit made for research, the Combine is a widespread and multidimensional empire that deprives whole planets of its resources for energy. What do you think?
Its hard to say what they would be, since the size of the combine empire is never really shown. However the reasons the combine can’t take down freeman, ignoring the things like ‘balanced gameplay’, i’d say that many of the units freeman goes up against are likely significantly lower strength than many things in the combine arsenal not stationed on earth.

Its just used to catagorize intelligent civilizations, and why we haven’t detected any other intelligent life in our galaxy, based on a ton of other factors.

So it's a scale for theoretical civilizations that are extremely energy inefficient?

Well the theory that advanced civilizations are just very efficient also has its own scale, but these ranked civilizations on this scale are so advanced that they just end up harnessing that much power.

On that point, i was wondering about something. Why did the combines attack Earth in the first place? Are they aware of Freeman's plot powers? And why are they just going around destroying infrastructure and population after going through the trouble of conquering the place?
Likely to exploit resources and its life. They entered after the black mesa incident. The combine seem to have intentions only focused on their gain, and most of their technology is made to be completely function over form.

For example, Star Fox civilization we start is Type II halfway to Type III

League of Legends civilization is pretty primitive compared to a modern civilization in League of Legends, So Type 0.3

And the third example is... PUBG starts with one civilization and it's the plane one so Type 0.000005
Humanity in real life is ranked less than a .3 if i remember correctly.

What do you mean by "other"? Is there one at least? :P
