Your legacy lives on. :-)
Oh my goodness! Thank you, you beautiful human. All of the bass saturated suggestions were driving me absolutely insane and I thought that it was just the unfortunate curse of the Razer Kraken headset. To each their own, but NO thank you. These settings sound as great as my favorite earbuds where I can hear everything crystal clearly. No overblown bass, tininess, echo, or any other frustrating sound issues. Best post. My ears and I can't thank you enough. ^_^
Hey thanks! I've had issues with that distorted bass before and I've always hated it. Distortion doesn't sound good, EVER, and the Kraken headphones are quite good overall, they just need a bit of tweaking to really punch the sound up a bit. Oh, if the high end is too shrill on some things, I'd suggest bringing the higher frequencies down a tad as well. I listen to some heavy metal, and some guitar solos are crazy on the high end of the spectrum, so sometimes I bring those last couple frequencies down a couple notches. Otherwise I'd say that general layout is the best I personally could make it sound and still try to keep a good and decently accurate style to the sound.
I wanted things to sound as close as possible to how they're supposed to sound normally, but still have great punchy sound without any distortion, especially when listening to music, watching videos or movies, or playing games. I will say that playing games with that sound setup and a game that supports the full surround soundscape is just an amazing experience. Explosions ring through and sound full and powerful and weighty but they all do it without blasting the sound out.
I'm glad you like it! :D
Im an experienced fps player and have played games such as Counter-Strike Source / 1.6 and GO. Also battlefield, valorant, pubg and others are on my list.
For me these settings are too faded and some sounds sound really disturbed.
These are the settings that worked the best for me after testing and searching for hours:
EQ SETTINGS:
31 Hz: 1
63 Hz: 3
125 Hz: 0
250 Hz: 0
500 Hz: 4
1 kHz: 4
2 kHz: 2
4 kHz: 2
8 kHz: 6
16 kHz: 4
ENHANCEMENT SETTINGS:
Bassboost off (if you like bass, turn this to 50 max but i HIGHLY recommend putting it to 25 if you really want that bass.
Sound Normalization off
Voice Clarity: off (makes things really snappy and sharp. Dont use this PLEASE XD)
REMINDER: In the end its all up to your opinion. For example: if youre not so sensitive to higher pitched sounds, put the 8 and 16 kHz slider higher. Also, if you like to have more bass and lower sound, turn the slider on 31 and 63 Hz up.
DEVICE: Razer Kraken (Kitty, yeah i know i bought this a joke)
If you like these settings, Let me know on my steam account.
I dunno, why do people keep needing to mess with EQ on an expensive headset? shouldn't need to do that since the input is already mixed.
so
31hz : 12
63hz : 7
125hz : 2
250hz :0
500hz :-1
1khz :0
2khz :1
4khz :2
8khz :2
16khz :3
100%bass boost "ON"
off for sound normalization and off for vocal clarity
The problem with this specific headset is that the soundstage it has out of the box is too bassy and doesn't have good clarity for all kinds of sounds. I did some adjustments and you can find my personal settings above, but I think what I did made it sound much clearer than before, with good sounding bass, and without having distortion.
I got Blackshark V2 Pros last month and was so surprised the default Synapse EQs make the sound so much worse! I tried so many EQ settings from people online and THIS IS THE BEST BY FAR, ESPECIALLY FOR MUSIC.
Other people posting online should be ashamed of themselves, including those commenting in this thread claiming to know better. Everyone else online slightly tweaked the default settings and are so proud of themselves SMH! Go and see for yourself, everyone is doing +1, +2, -1 LOL LOL Chapae actually put in the time and energy to find an amazing balance!
This post by chapae needs to be the first shown in all Google searches related to Synapse EQ. Too many people are missing out. These settings make music sound euphoric with all genres I've tried. I recommend Stereo Mode in THX Spatial for music for WAY better sound quality. THX practically destroys audio.
THANK YOU CHAPAE. TAKE MY POINTS.
