Classical Music

I never really got into rap or hip hop, but I dabble a bit in rock. I prefer classical , so any classical pieces that you recommend?

Bach and Vivaldi ARE NOT CLASSICAL COMPOSERS.

The baroque and classical periods are nothing alike, in instrumentation, theme or style. Even though JC and CPE were largely the fathers of the Classical period.

We musical heathens sometimes throw a bunch of these old dudes into the same genre. That's a horrible mistake.

Sometimes the safer bet is just to say orchestral music then specify the periods.

We could call it, collectively "classical music". But someone, somewhere would adjust his glasses and point out the error of categorising hundreds of years of the evolution of music within just one genre. There's no happy medium.

It's still a broader term and less niche. But in cases where it is a choral or keyboard work etc state it and specify a period.
