So why did Sega removes the Sonic characters ages from thier websites?

Out of nowhere right under our noeses Sega decided to remove Sonic characters ages from their website's without telling us the reason ( I hope they do) so anything ideas why they remove them do they want us not give a darn about these characters ages anymore? should we just get idea of their age groups between kid teen or young adults? What some of y'all think about this?

Should probably stop assuming reasons and allow the company to make it's own decisions. They know more about what they are doing with their IP's than you.

Dude who made some sonic comics years ago and owns specifically what he made, he will sue for anything infringing on that if he thinks he can make a case that has the slightest chance in court. Just a general thorn in Sega's side.

From what I heard, his comics weren't even that good in the first place

Maybe because it makes sense. At least I hope it is because of that, but seeing how many bad decision Sega sometimes takes for Sonic I don't know... maybe next time Sega wants to make an edgy GTA style Sonic game and want to update his age to make him look like a "cool" young adult criminal...
Anyway what's the point in giving such a character an age?
Did you really ever wonder how old characters were while playing Sonic 1 on the Mega Drive? This is what Snic should be forever, so I think it would be more interesting to know why the hell Sega felt the need to tell how old is he rather than why they deleted this info now.
I can understand that maybe for the creators it can be helpful to establish this kind of info while designing a character, but once the job is done depending on what kind of character it is it would be better to just forget about that info and leave it behind.
