How to get into horror games?

I want to get into horror games, but I'm too much of a wuss to actually play any. Any reccomendations for people new to the genre?

Isolation is a good horror game, for beginners too.

It has less jumpscares and you can see the enemy on your tracker if they near.

I've played SCP Containmant Breach. I didn't find it that scary.

I've played SCP Containmant Breach. I didn't find it that scary.

Then you'll do fine kiddo, get some Dead Space or some Amnesia.

The hype probably? Personally I got bored with Amnesia. It was Penumbra that gave me the goosebumps.

Dead Space 2 was pretty good, never tried the other titles in the series. The two Metro games are really good, but they're not that much of horror games compared to others.

What? Dead Space 2 was amazing. I had to force myself to complete 1. 2, I played throught from sheer enjoyment. And the school was creepy as hell. I sure am glad I had my magnetting spinning buzzsaws to kill all those children.

But hey. different games for different folks, I guess.

Oh no. Three was kind of underwhelming. Especially when they added co-op. No GOOD horror game should ever had co-op.
