Dateline nbc is creepy. I love the true crime genre, its much more natural than stuff like csi and midsomer murders. However as I said, theres something wrong with Dateline. If you find true crime interesting then programs like Medical Detectives and 48 Hours Mystery are good.

To Catch a Predator. It was a long running thing on NBC and awesome.

They'd bait these loser pedophiles into coming to visit their underage connection online (who was a cop) and when they'd show up they'd bring alcohol, condoms, balloons and etc. Then Chris Hansen and a camera crew would come out of nowhere and ask him what he was doing there. When the guy said he was just there to talk or some other such nonsense, Chris would pull out a giant chat log of the guy talking about how he was going to do and that to the kid. So then the guy would say it was his first time ever talking online to somebody like that (SURE IT WAS).

And then he'd leave, only to be jumped by the cops as soon as he went outside.

Friggin' awesome. To get guys like that exposed and off the streets, the show was totally worth it.

Lol lets be clear here: they havent done that for a decade. Most of Dateline nbc now is pretty similar to the 48 Hours Mystery format, its about serial killers and murderers, but they put a sexual spin on it.

So it's illegal entrapment, which would therefore let the pedo go free and not be arrested. Huh, interesting twisted TV show. But surely it must be faked as it can't hold in court, etc?
