Guitar amp headphone jack no sound
Hi.

So I plugged in my headset to my guitar amp by using a 6.3mm female adapter. Apparently there is no sound when I'm playing, but it cuts off the amp's speaker.
AMP: Laney LX35D

Any ideas?

Ahh nice a Laney Amp. I use to have one myself.

So you have an 1/8 to 1/4 inch adapter. Plugged into the "Phones" port.

What headset are you trying to use? Do you know it's ohms?

Correct. I'm using Plantronics Gamescom 388, don't know it's ohms though.

That's standard 32 ohms, 20Hz-20KHz, I believe. Should work.

The jacks fit snug?

Do you have anything else to test the adapter on? Or another headset to try on the amp?

Yes they do.

Tried the adapter on a stereo system and it works alright. Don't have any other headsets to try apparently.
