You do know there allready exists a family guy movie?
After the movie was released they turned into 3 episodes.

Also Joe and Brian are the most annoying characters of the show

IF Seth MacFarlane gets any more work, I swear to my stabbing knife I AM GOING TO STAB SOMETHING!

Family Guy was a horrid show. That was why it was canceled in the first place. And after it came back, it was the same thing every week. For approaching 20 years now! The same pedo/fart/barf/violent thing. In every episode! And he gets 2 spin off shows! That are the same crap! Then he makes an animated movie. SAME CRAP! Oh, he made a western did he? OH WHAT! You say he had Neil Patrick Harris have explosive diarrhea in a hat, stuck a flower up Liam Neeson's butt and then made the movie about random jumps to random scenes with "WACKY" fart jokes and people dying? I would never have seen it coming!

Oh.. And Ted. ♥♥♥♥ you Ted...

Dude even wrote some of the worst episodes of beloved cartoons shows, Like Dexter's Lab. He can just go now. That would be nice...

You forgot the destroying of Cleveland's house bit that's like in 35 episodes. Or the falling down knee grab that's equally overused.

I think what happened is McFarlane threw a ♥♥♥♥ fit after FG was cancelled the first time and now no one is afraid to say "no" to him...it also doesn't help that Fox hasn't had any quality programs since the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ X-Files ended, so Family Guy is basically the best of the absolute worst.

That damned knee gag.

Oh! And the stupid chicken thing! Which extra pissed me off thanks to the Simpsons crossover, because after 2/3 of the show watching Peter and Homer pump gas up their butts to think like cars, they turned the last 1/3 into the Chicken fight! Get it! Because Homer is Yellow! And they had no ideas beyond that!

You people seems to watch it awfully lot when you hate it so much.

Also Joe got his legs fixed in an episode but reversed back to his old self by the gang.

I don't mind the chicken fight scenes because they are just so well done compared to other cartoons that focus on fighting. Imagine if some of the older cartoons had such nice fighting going on for 1/3 of the episode. It'd be bloody amazing.

It's one of those shows with excessive reruns on multiple channels. Where I live it's on three broadcast channels and two cable , and it's on at least one of them every day(often several times a day). I have only deliberately watched it three or four times on my own(and far too many times at other peoples houses), and have seen all of the "gags" mentioned above several times over.

About the only way to not see it is to not watch TV at all.

Here's Seth's opinion on that:
"Part of me thinks that Family Guy should have already ended. I think seven seasons is about the right lifespan for a TV series," he says of a show that launched its tenth season last month. "I talk to the fans and in a way I'm kind of secretly hoping for them to say we're done with it. There are plenty of people who say the show is kind of over the hill… but still the vast majority go pale in the face when I mention the possibility." As he sees it, there’s something to be said for wrapping up the series and doing a movie once every couple of years. "Creatively, that would be the way to do it for me. Do a really fantastic final episode while the show is still strong," he says, acknowledging that there are plenty of powerful reasons -- including the viewer demand and the amount of people employed by the series, some 300 people in total -- to give him pause.

I'd like to see you take the decision to fire 300 people just because you felt it has run it course.

There have been some great stuff in the later episodes. Or at least the last few seasons. I now find the like the first 5 seasons to be pretty boring.

It's just fun stuff. They don't really need an story arc.

It's television junkfood. But that's not exactly a suffering industry.

They already made one. In 2005.

They later cut 22+ minutes out of it and altered some scenes so they could air it as 3 episodes in season 4.

Because they're too lazy to make new episodes, and only care about the money.
Remember when they used the 2 minute clip of the NES game on youtube? That took up 10% of the whole episode -commercials.
