Battleship Building Game for PC?

When I was little, I played Naval Ops Warship Gunner on PS2. Now that I'm older and actually capable of playing video games well, I no longer have a ps2. Does anyone know if there are any games like this on pc? Maybe something similar to it, but with spacecraft? I already own From the Depths, KSP, and Space Engineers. None of those are really what I'm looking for, since they require you to design either a boring modern spacecraft, or incredibly complex designs that you build block by block. NOWG had a system where they gave you parts, like steam stacks, guns, engines, missile silos, etc, and you had to place them onto a blueprint of a ship. This meant it was simple, but you could still have insane designs, like remaking the battleship Yamato and whatnot.

Any input is appreciated. I've probably been looking for a game like this for 2 years now.

What about Mechwarrior: Online? While it about mechs rather than battleships, the concept is similar.

Starmade is great, but it is a block by block game. That being said it is ridiculous the amount of control you have, it's not just adding turrets but you can actually build the turrets to your specifications, etc.

It was also better before they screwed up with the HP system. Ships should not survive having the entire center of the ship deleted.
