why do people hate weebs?

im a weeb myself, yet i dont get why people hate them. i dont call myself japanese though and barely watch anime.

If you dig Japan, anime, whatever, cool. I personally don't like any of it.

It's not so much your interests as it is being annoying about it. That goes for anything. Don't let your Japan stuff define who you are, you know what I mean?

Even if it's all you ever talk about, there's more people who are the same so it's not like you have to worry about people not liking you. there's plenty of japan freaks out there. I mean yeah it's ridiculous but hey, what can you do

i watch anime and Japan has a huge cultural history (as do other countries) but i don't obsess over it,i did always want a Katana though, besides it's either anime or reality shows and that's a no brainer

So just out of curiosity, whats the "correct" usage of the term weeb? other than its a shortened version of "weeaboo" which is, from what I understand, derrogative.
