Where's Heretic 2? Did anyone else think this it was GREAT?
I've noticed most of id and Raven Software's catalogue has been added to the greater Steam library. I could not be happier... except, perhaps, if they were to add Heretic 2 to the collection. I simply can't understand why it isn't more recognized. It was groundbreaking—perhaps not as much as the original HeXen, Heretic, and Quake—but groundbreaking nonetheless. It had a compelling and enthralling storyline as well.

I've wondered if maybe it's not being remastered for Steam in much the same way HumanHead Studios' viking-themed action-slasher Rune isn't. There was quite a bit of buzz for a while about a sequel. And given the success of shows like Vikings and the renewed interest in old-world ethnic history by American white people in general, it seems like it would be prospectively lucrative. In other words, maybe there is a way to turn the Heretic series, specifically the series a-la Heretic 2, into a big commercial franchise for a new generation.

Has anyone else thought about this or have any insight?

Thanks! First Steam post!

You need to go and ask the devs/publishers of the games to bring them to Steam. Valve doesn't go around asking game companies to bring their games to Steam.

Totally agree. Disappointing.
