Games for Couples

Hey there! I'm curious to see what you all recommend for fun games to play with your significant other? My girlfriend and I will be long distance soon so I'm thinking ahead to games we can play even with the distance. Just a heads up, she has a Mac But at least she already has a Steam (as well Age of Empires II and Gary's Mod)!

I play most games with my wife, though she tends to sit next to me on the couch during it. My first recommendation is Don't Starve Together. That's probably our most successful co-op find. Very very highly recommended, but make sure you can clearly communicate while doing it, phone or otherwise. It can certainly test the strength of your relationship. Works with a controller or keyboard/mouse.

Path of Exile is an excellent ARPG, and works well as a co-op game. My wife likes finding all the things she can, which that genre is great for.

Dying Light is exceptionally well made, as well, for one with a different tone. It works really well with a controller.

I'd also recommend looking at the website 'Co-optimus' for a list of co-op specific games you can choose from.

I was thinking about Don't Starve Together, it looks really fun. Thanks for these other suggestions too! I also wasn't aware of "Co-optimus," I'll have to check it out. Thanks for your thorough response!

Well, the only game I could find that was on Mac, not mentioned already, and still good is this.

Unfortunately, you'll have to go through the crapy campaign once to unlock all the guns (or at least far enough to unlock the Five-seveN), but the co-op is quite enjoyable.

1200 miles apart? I suggest just breaking up and finding another girlfriend. Relationships only work if you are together and can work on things. The further apart you are physically, the further apart you will be relationally. Long distance relationships break up married couples all the time, unless you two are very serious i'm sorry to say you probably don't have a chance.

It's worth it to me to say that I tried and fall flat on my face than to say that I didn't and not know if it could've been done.

We've talked about the distance, and we both have the mindest, backed by our faith, that if it's going to work out, it will, and if not, it won't. It's worth it to me to say that I tried and fall flat on my face than to say that I didn't and not know if it could've been done.

It doesn't sound like you need to hear it (and I definitely hope that's the case) but, as someone who's tried and unfortunately failed, I say go for it as long as both of you are willing to commit equally hard for this relationship. That said, please don't shy away from expressing any concerns regarding an unbalance in that commitment-- it's the most crucial part of a long-distance relationship, in my opinion. And good luck!
