They removed some achievment games where the game was like 10min long and had 1000+ achievements
Turns out not just out of Steam, but even out of the PC enviroment it also happens.
You gotta be living under a rock. Just by browsing through my library I notice that steam has taken down a bunch of games. And I remember 2016 - 2020 there were many junk games released that are no longer available.
And I mean, if Sony wants to get rid of trash, they should take down all of their games and go out of business.
The last time I saw them, a few years ago, both the official Switch online store and the official Playstation 4 online store were full of garbage, it was depressing to browse them.
On Steam it is much more easy to understand if a game is good or not and there is much more focus on good quality games. Sometimes certain hidden gems can become too hidden on Steam and you tend to see always the same, super well known games and you have to search a lot to find something else, this is true, but at least it feels much more organized.
Both Sony and Nintendo had awful online stores and treated every software the same way, there was no particular focus on anything (except a little bit of extra advertisements for 1st party games probably, but honestly I don'tr even remember that - maybe because on the 3DS the stuation was much different so I didn't notice the little effort they maybe made on the Switch and PS4).
It was unbelievable, going on those stores made me feel really sad.
God of war is a great game, but other than that I don't care too much about other Sony games. Yes I would agree that most of them are trash. But not all, and God of war in particular is fantastic. And honestly I'd like to try Sackboy Big Adventure too if they will release it on Steam. It looks nice.
Yes this is why on PC it is more normal and acceptable. This is what I expect (and want) on PC... more freedom, which also mean more potential trash, and that's fine in that case. On console it is different. But as I said, even on PC Steam, while accepting many low quality games, do a better job at keeping its store attractive and highlighting many of the most intersting games much more than the low quality ones. The stores of Sony and Nintendo, at least the last time I visited them, were embarassing. Steam feels much more polished.
Agreed.
Thank god, they finally removed Horizon Zero Down, Parkourcharted, God of War, BB, GTA, The Last of Xus, Spiderman and other woke crap
