Low fps on minecraft shaders with high end rig?
My specs:
GPU: GTX 1070 MSI Gaming X
CPU: i7 4790k OC 4.4GHz
RAM: 8gb DDR3 1333mhz (could be the problem?)

Without shaders I'm usually around high 200s and low 300s (depending on the situation). When I turn in a shaders (specifically SUES v11.0) I go aaaallllll the way down to about 30-55 range.... Is this normal or what? It seems like it shouldn't be that much of a drop. Other shaders I get a bit higher fps (usually around 50-70) but we all know that SUES is the best, so I'm going to use that one lol

I wouldn't say that's normal. RAM might be the issue but i'm not 100% sure.

Welcome to Minecraft, where the optimizations are made up and the specs don't matter.

Nope... I just ended up turning off shaders completely... It's not worth having a render distance of 10. I just use DOF only shader with good resource pack. No fps drop and it makes the game a bit prettier.
