Why don't you create some t-shirts with owls on and steal it? Like that leach... what's his face?
Not to mention every few years, new printing plates need to be engraved. And the owl is still there. So either there is a some major joke going on with the plate engravers, or it could as you say be an anti-conterfeit measure.
To go along with you again, like you said, nobody would counterfeit a $1. It would take too much time and effort for such a small payout. I doubt the Government wouldn't understand this by now.
And yet the frigin owl is still around. I'm thinking this is an inside joke of some kind honestly.
But anyway I'm assuming this is a large feature of the money that everyone recognizes?
The owl on the $1 is very tiny and you need a magnifying lens to see it clearly.
