Yes. Steam, a very large and reputable company, has a browser that creates viruses. It causes them to be all over your machine! Stop using it right now! They are calling from inside the house!

OR it is just a browser, with a few more vulnerabilities over the others. And is slower. And less responsive. And doesn't react too well to flash sometimes. And is probably the worst browser after a 1998 version of Netscape Navigator.

Why are you using Steam to cruise the internet?

And no, all the viruses you pick up are from you visiting questionable sites using the Steam browser.

Well its pretty useful using it in steam overlay like checking wiki while playing terraria, rather than alt tab out of the game constantly. And I can see its role in Big picture mode. I doubt they made it to replace other browsers for basic surfing like checking email and back account. If they did... well, it would be insulting.

edit: whats with the avast hate? both avast and malwarebytes have saved my hairy butt many times, and I havent paid them a cent.
